Helias Millerioux

born in 1987. A French mountaineer, ski mountaineer and mountain guide. He began his vertical adventure at the age of fourteen and developed as a climber on the boulders of the famous Fontainebleau close to his hometown-Paris. At the age of 21 he joined an elite youth mountaineering group  ENAM, at the age of 25 he passed the Alpine Guide exam at the prestigious Ecole National de Ski et d’Alpinisme (ENSA). Before the age of thirty, Helias had already participated in 11 expeditions to high mountains. He climbed in Argentina, Peru, Nepal, Pakistan and Alaska. The ascent of Slovak Direct on Denali in 2013 deserves a special attention. This climb turned into the eight-day epic during which together with Remi Sfilio he had to survive three-day  weather breakdown. In 2014 with the “Moustache Gang” he opened a new route Looking for the Void on Siula Chico in Peru. In 2016, along with Yannik Graziani he tried to climb a new route on the Diamir Face of Nanga Parbat. Eventually he summited this eight-thousander via the Kinshofer route. In 2017 together with Fred Degoulet and Benjamin Guigonnet he made an Alpine style ascent of the new route on the south face of Nuptse Nup II. For this ascent the French trio was awarded Piolet d’Or which they will receive during the Festival in Lądek Zdrój. He lives and works as a guide in Chamonix.
