If the digital file is unavailable, please get in touch with us (filmy@festiwalgorski.pl) so we can find a solution together.

FOOTAGE QUALITY

We recommand HD 1920 x 1080. Audio 48kHz 24-bit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does it cost to submit a film?

It is free, no submission fees.

What do I get if my films is accepted to the festival?

Priceless treasures: an all-access pass to the festival, festival t-shirt, accommodation (B&B) during the festival, possibility of speaking to the best audience in the world!
Please let us know not later than 15th of August whether you’re coming to Festival. If you do come, you’ll be invited to introduce your film in person at the public screening and/or do a Q&A session after it.

What do I get if my film won?

The winners will be awarded with a diploma and laurels which can be used in promotional materials. If the corresponding category is supported by our sponsors – gift or cash are also possible.

Do I have to be present at Ceremony Awards?

Of course! We strongly recommend that. We offer plane tickets, transport from/to the airport and accommodation to the authors of the shortlisted films. The shortlist will be announced on 15th of August 2018.

What is Ladek Promo?

Throughout the year we organize promotional events of the Festival where we screen selected movies from the Film Competition. If you want your film to be watched at two of them, answer YES when filling up in the entry form. The authors are not paid the screening fee for Ladek Promo.

What is Ladek Film Tour?

We want the authors of the films to earn some money with their films, therefore we organize screenings all around the country. If you answer YES when filling up in the entry form, you’ll be give more details afterwards.

What film length do you recommend?

You should take a full length mountain film and cut it in half. Then cut another 10 minutes and maybe shorten ot a little bit more. Now it is perfect! It is a joke of course but seriously – best films are from 10 to 40 minutes. A good story can be told in 120 seconds but even an amazing adventure can be murdered in a never-ending production.

What is it Mountain Film, what types of films do you accept?

Mountain Film is a very wide category – it includes every kind of mountain sport activity. We also accept films where mountains are only a background. The most important is to tell a powerfull story, arouse emotions. We do not want just a GoPro footage showing your holidays. Technical quality counts as well but it’s not crucial.

Is the Film Competition open only to the professional filmmakers?

Of course not. Competition is open to everybody. Professional filmmakers, tv journalists and travelers submit their films every year. Amateur productions are also highly appreciated by Jury and the audience.
